-
Embedded In Academia
The blog of John Regehr. This site contains fairly technical posts about various computer science topics, particularly pertaining to compilers.
-
Small Datum
The blog of Mark Callaghan, who spends an awful lot of time benchmarking databases. This site is full of posts about his experiments with database benchmarking and configuration.
-
Matt Might
The website of Matt Might, which contains a blog covering various topics pertaining to programming and computer science, as well as academia and graduate school in general.
-
Solène Rapenne
Solène's blog contains a variety of posts discussing Linux and OpenBSD. She's a former OpenBSD contributor and her site is generated using a bespoke SSG written in Common Lisp.
-
CPP Cast
The CPP Cast is a (roughly) biweekly podcast about the C++ programming language by Timur Doumler and Phil Nash. They went on hiatus for a while, but they're back now posting fairly regular episodes.
-
Database Architects
A blog by database researchers Peter Boncz, Thomas Neumann, and Viktor Leis. It covers a wide range of database and database adjacent topics.
-
deBreved
The blog of Tim Davies--a wealth of information about music composition and notation. I stumbled across it while looking up a tricky bit of notation on a jazz chart, and accidentally lost quite a bit of time to reading in the process.
Friends and Colleagues
Here is a list of the personal websites of people I know personally. Most of them are pretty sparse at the moment. Don't worry, I'm applying pressure to get them to build their sites out. Any day now, I'm sure...
